About Us

The “He” refers to a fellow named Randy, and the “She” a gal named Erin. Together, we are He & She Photography, a husband and wife photography duo based out of San Luis Obispo, California.

We strive to turn your love into art. Sure, it may sound corny, but it’s true! It’s our passion. Our photography style can best be described as photojournalism meets quirky fashion photography. We are very influenced by the aesthetics of fashion photography, yet our unobtrusive approach enables us to create a documentary of your wedding from an insider’s perspective. I suppose you could call our style “natural light-lifestyle-fashion-photojournalism.” Try saying that five times fast :)

We are constantly brainstorming and pushing our creativity to new heights with every single shot. we continually push each other to be the best we can be – a little husband and wife competition never hurt a picture!

Behind the scenes: a little about us…. We’ve been married for over four years and our greatest creation to date is that little creature you see above. No, not the fuzzy one – the bald one: Linus Wesley. Taking it back to the beginning, though, we met through mutual friends at a bonfire in Huntington Beach. Four months into our relationship, we knew we had found our soul mates. Since then, all of our dreams have continued to come true! (Again, corny, but it is what it is.) And we didn’t just stumble into wedding photography – both of us come from artistic backgrounds. Erin hails from a family of artists, has her BFA in Creative Photography, and previously worked for a wedding photography studio. Randy has his BFA in Graphic Design and previously worked as the lead graphic designer for a major graphics company.

Simply said, we are the kind of people that like to make other people happy. We like to surround ourselves with happiness and photograph it. It’s as simple as that!
