blossom & forever friendship | personal

Anyone who knows me knows how much I adore my dog, Blossom. She’s been my best friend since I was 17. She was and is my favorite go-to photography subject – and she’s good at it! She was my muse when I first started to get serious about photography.

Now, I say this out of love, but… Blossom is an attention whore. She is fully aware of how beautiful she is, and is constantly turning heads. Everywhere we go, she gets compliments and nearly ever person asks if she is a puppy. I just laugh and say, don’t let her fool you! Just now, for example, we were on our evening walk and I hear a man’s voice yelling from behind me. I paid him no attention at first, assuming he was calling to someone else. Then I hear a car approaching us. I turn to see an elderly gentleman with a huge grin on his face and he says, “Well my goodness, what a beautiful dog!” I thanked him and he did a u-turn to return on his way. He actually went out of his way to come see her! See what I mean? Attention whore.

In her youth, Blossom was in fact a show dog. And even though she is a very cute little fuzz face, her personality is what wins my heart. She is most certainly a faithful companion (and very a patient photography subject!)

And as a side note, we do pet portrait photography! :D

This is her, "Mom... really? ANOTHER picture?!" face.
