This past weekend we had the pleasure of photographing young Gregory’s baptism. It was our first time shooting a Greek Orthodox event, and it was definitely an experience! Gregory’s parents, Stephanie and Luke, are two of the warmest people you’ll ever meet – and their entire extended family has the same welcoming demeanor. By the end of the day, Randy and I practically felt like family! In the car on the way home, I turned to Randy and said, “Man, I wish I were Greek!” From the traditional baptism at St. Nicholas, to the footloose reception that followed, there was so much joy shared by everyone. It was certainly a memorable experience for us and we felt so fortunate to be a part of it :)

Isn't this church amazing? Luke's father told us that several generations of their family have gotten married here (including Stephanie & Luke).

We were so amazed how well Gregory did throughout the whole day. He was so calm! He is a little teary-eyed here, but... really... we can't blame him. He was just dunked in water!

Look at that face! Such a cutie :)

This gentleman on the left is a true character! He kept joking with me the whole day :)

This picture describes the demeanor of everyone there!

Gregory dances with his Godfather.

And a dance with Grandpa.
