the rv show & dreaming about the future | personal

This weekend held much excitement for Randy and I. We attended the annual RV Show!!!

Now, you may be wondering, “What exactly is an RV Show?” So I am here to inform you that the RV Show is, in fact, lots of fun! It’s an interactive showcase of the newest rigs from the country’s motor home companies. My parents purchased their cute Chalet camper 13 years ago at one of our first RV show experiences, and we’ve been RV Show attendees ever since!

There are two missions when attending the RV Show: 1) pick your favorite dream rig, and 2) pick your most practical and realistic rig. Much of the show (unfortunately) is dominated by the huge dinosaur-sized homes on wheels. We skip all of these in search of the ultimate small rig! Sadly, the show wasn’t nearly as big this year, and it was hard to find these small needles in the giant RV haystack. In fact, there were only two that came even remotely close to making the list, and ultimately Randy and I narrowed it down to one. So many of these rigs look exactly the same and are made equally as cheaply. But there is one sole company that puts quality construction and design effort into all of their rigs. And that company is… Airstream!!!

Cutest and most functional piece of art you’ll ever see! The Airstream International is 16 feet of awesomeness. Full bed, bathroom, dining area and a kitchen to boot! No tacky decals on the outside and a minimal modern interior. Randy and I can’t ever imagine getting anything different. Now if we could just find an extra $48,000 lying around, perhaps our dream will come true! If anyone wants to start an Airstream fund for us, we will gladly receive any offerings :)

*Sigh*… maybe one day….
